Burton Snowboards is the mother of all snowboarding brands. From 2006 until 2009 Black Lodges was hired to work for the creative department in Vermont in several capacities. Predominately, we facilitated artists and other brands to work with Burton in whatever capacity was appropriate. This ranged from the Burton Artist T-Shirt series, commissioning artists such Joe Coleman for commercial work as well facilitating brand partnerships between Burton and Carhartt.
Additionally, we worked closely with the Art Department to identify, source and commission art work from a variety of international artists. Generally, we coordinated our work between the Creative Director, the Art Department and the various Creative Managers at Burton Snowboards.
