I got an email from my publishers in London ( Thames & Hudson ) on Friday saying that my book had been shortlisted by the British Book Design and Production Awards in the category of Best Trade Illustrated Book. How rad is this? Fact aside that I have never even heard of this award nor the award giving faculty but whatever, getting nominated is pretty insane, especially since I had little to do with the actual design of it, that was a a dude at Thames & Hudson called Sam, who did manage to go to the ceremony for us. Obviously, the book didn’t win, I mean it would have been a hoot if it did, but I thought getting nominated was pretty cool.

In other news, I did manage to update the Book House Boys Section of the site with a new feature, one that I am really stoked on. Tony Larson, one of the main creative forces behind the Art Dump and Girl Skateboards went through his archives and selected his own favourite pieces of work, which in hindsight, now that he left Girl makes the feature even more poignant. Enjoy.

A side note-as much to myself as anyone else-vodka gin and more vodka, plus late night Sunday bowling really make for a crappy Monday morning.
