There’s something about winter, I mean the type of winter that just Berlin, that makes me listen to a lot more hip hop than I usually. Weird right? You would think that the summer time would make me listen to, in relation to my usual “stressful”-according to the wife-this more chilled music, but it’s the opposite. I think it might have to do something with the fact that I am wearing big puffy jackets and hoodies to keep my ass warm in this damnable cold. maybe. Anyway, as much as I love my ipod for listening to music when I am travling, skating whatever, I am sick to death of playing music at home/office on my ipod. Call me old fashioned and all, but I actually like sifting through my music, physically, and like PUTTING on music rather than hitting “random” on my ipod. Point being that I am in dire need of hitting up a record store and do some diggin’. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I actually love going to record stores, hanging out all day listening to new shit, and sifting through records, the smells, feel. unbeatable. I remember when I around 13 and my local record store actually getting cd players in the store so that we could listen to the CD’s before buying them, which at the time was pretty rad. Anyway, nowadays you can do some pretty good diggin’ on youtube, and even though it by no means beats or even remothely resembles going out to your favourite store to look for records it does set the mood for it. Now I just have to brave the cold.

regardless of whatever is being shoved down the masses throat’s as hip hop you can never keep quality down.
the goodness is out, in whatever you are into.
it’s up to you to share with the masses.
it’s not going to happen by itself.
