Alright, so despite my hotel still not having any hot water things are good in South Beach. The weather is fine, the company even better and the art is great. So what’s going to happen here is that myself and Adam from Slam X Hype are going to share the coverage. Whatever show I will go to I’ll send him my five favourite pieces and I’ll show the rst here. I don’t think Adam knows this yet thanks to the time difference, but in essence that’s how it’s going down.
Hooked up with my brothers from across the pond, Bothan, Toni from Trust Nobody, Dave White and partners and went and grabbed some grub at Jerry’s, which, like the rest of the city, is slow but good.
Feeling a little worse for wear from the shitty Indian food last night I went the healthy route, which paid off. Hey, I gotta plug the food blog thing for a change as well, it’s like the new blog black…
We cruised up to see the Fame Collective show where I finally managed to meet up with the mastermind behind the show, Isaiah from M.I.A. The show, quite frankly is amazing, the different degrees of art shown is great, as well as the individual artworks themselves. It is rare that you come out of any shown and actually dig 90% of it. I take my hat off to the M.I.A. crew, everything was perfect.
Isaiah, Senor Blanco and the lady.
and some of the work I was into, make sure to check Slam for my top 5. Here are all of Mr. White’s work, incredibly big, really good and a proof of his progression as artist. Well Done mate.
I was stoked to manage to meet my good friend Jason from JB, he was heading out today. Love this guy.
That’s it for day one, I am off to take a disco nap.
