Every now and then I get lucky and my stuff doesn’t up at the last remnant of the 3rd Reich here in Berlin, i.e. the Customs office. Especially, when Kenta from BRKN HOME in Vancouver sends me tee’s-for some reason those Nazi’s have a real issue with goods out of Canada ( what, too liberal for you assholes?? ). Here are some new goodies from BRKN HOME. I particularly like the Werewolf brigade tee, werewolves are my favourite fable figure and used to scare the shit out of me when I was a kid.

all right, some of you know might know how this feels. You get a random email from someone you don’t know telling you about their new brand. Now, I don’t actually have an issue with this, I know some people do, but I am not that arrogant as to believe I know everything and everyone that is doing new things. I am always willing to have a look, at least, and give people a fair chance at showing what they have done. Not that my opinion matters greatly but it’s still a nice ego stroke. Anyway. I got an email from Sid a few weeks ago about my book and so on and about his brand Retreat. We chatted for a bit, we have some similar acquaintances and he asked if he could send me some tee’s. Now, usually, I turn this down and ask to see pictures first as a) sending tee’s isn’t cheap b) I hate going to the Nazi Customs office c) I don’t want to waste anyone’s time. Sid send them anyway. Unfortunately, most of the time I see new stuff I am not that impressed, but again, my opinion isn’t all that important. However, I got Sid’s tees yesterday and was really stoked on the graphics he had used. It doesn’t happen very often, but especially the “retreat from all evil” tee really struck a chord with me personally. After all, it’s not about being a trendy bitch, but wearing what you like. Thanks Sid.
