Lady Liberty…

I remember when I was a kid and saw her-the woman who symbolzied America
and a new beginning for immigrants. I took the Staten Island ferry and recently saw
The First Miss America again and started thinking she probably never thought
she wouldve seen all this that’s going on today.reality shows of old rappers,
the youth of today searching the internet for friends.
What ever happened to the old days?
the days of the outdoors and sticking with something you loved.
when i started skateboarding it changed my life.
it opened doors to other countries and different friends.
what now Lady? are you going to get your own reality show?
i hope you do,because i rather watch you then Flava Flav.
Your still looking good to me.
keep standing tall girl and stay shining.

Great post. I’m not from the US but, I love the idea of your post. Politics has clouded what America is and can be - a place where you can make your dreams come true. It’s always good to go back and see what inspires you and got you started.
The world has changed so much, I also wonder what happened to the old days? Things seemed a lot simpler then.
