I was just at the gym a little while ago, & had this moment of comedy that made me think about how funny we are as Men, & how vain we can be at times.

So I have done my work out, & chilling in the sauna. Now the sauna faces the exit to the showers, so if you sit facing the door their is the door & a window looking out to the exit of shower…clear, excellent. Now the sauna is not that well lit so as you walk out of the shower the first thing you see is the window. But, because it is dark behind it acts more as a mirror before you turn, either for the door of the sauna  & the steam room next door, or the opposite…back to the changing room.

I end up sitting facing this window looking at the exit to the showers, my usual spot, in the corner was taken. Yeah I am like that, like my usual spot. Anyway, I look vaguely out the window, & I start noticing how every towel clad man takes a last look at this window. They tilt their head, flex a little, flick the hair…give themselves a once over. I couldn’t help it I started laughing…not at these blokes, well partly, but at the fact that I have done that too & must have looked as much of a dick to whomever was sitting their looking out.

The Bloke in the corner…sitting in my fucking spot wanted to know what it was I was laughing at…I enlightened him to the reason for my outburst, which he seemed to find quiet amusing. He joined in on the people watching, & so continued the comedy.

But all in all it is a funny thing to see how people behave in front of a mirror.
