Question of the Week (better late than never)
When we stopped believing the Hypebeast, it was always because we didn’t want to become defined by the things we own/wear.
But for the sake of this post, let’s stick with the original question of the week was:
“What’s are your best three pieces of clothing/footwear that you’ve owned for at least three years and still continue to use regularly?”
Here we go (in the GZA voice before the start of “Investigative Reports”)
A very dear friend sent me these Air Force samples a few years ago. They were supposed to be for a Wimbeldon pack that never dropped. The tennis ball texture is a nice touch, and if Nike was still trying to innovate, they’d look into doing more sneakers like these.
No matter how hard streetwear brands rip off Gucci, they’ll never come close to the quality of the official product. The Canal street imitations sold at your favorite cool-guy boutique is nothing but a screen printed fake. I bought this wallet at Caesars the first time I ever went to Vegas and it’s rocked with me through cities, states, and continents, which is more than I can say for any “brand” that’s been in the “scene” in the last five years.
I know I’m straying off the topic of what’s worth wearing, but I think this is probably my most favorite possession. To me, the Dunlop Cry Baby Wah pedal is the most ingenious invention. This thing has provided me with more hours of entertainment than just about anything I own.
