OK, it’s Friday, I have time to do this, which is kind of appropriate given the question…

Where would I go back in time to?

Well, I’d really want to go forward in time to get a Sports Almanac à la Back to the Future 2, but as I can only go backwards (thanks Einstein), where to?

I guess it would be somewhere/sometime that hasn’t been made into countless films or TV programmes. So not Ancient Rome, not Judea when some bloke from Nazareth was – so some people believe – supposed to have been causing trouble, not Renaissance Italy, not Tudor England, and definitely not the part twee, part cholera epidemic that was the 19th century London of Charles Dickens. The Dark Ages would be intriguing, how about that?

Or maybe to solve a few mysteries (or add to them) – let’s set the controls for Dallas, the morning of November 22 1963 and go and hang out on the grassy knoll.

I’d still much rather go forward though. I’m too impatient to wait to find out what happens next.
