W., Oliver Stone, Monty Python and other random thoughts
I just clocked the trailer for Oliver Stones new film simply called “W”. A film about George W.Bush during his younger years and his ascendancy to the White House. Now, I am not sure about this to be honest and mostly because I don’t think I know enough about Oliver Stone nor George the W. to make a clear statement about this, maybe y’all can comment your thoughts below.
Whilst watching the trailer I kept on thinking about films such as Animal House and so on, it reminded me so much of yet another college drunken hilarity version of reality, which I realize in large parts of Ivy League America is the reality. Now, what’s the point of this film? Is it to ridicule George W.Bush, and considering the release date of October this year, is it meant to be in aid of the Democrats by slating the Bush family and subsequently the Republican party? I can’t figure out what Oliver Stone’s stance is on the issue to be honest, and after seeing glimpses of his 9-11 film, well, I am even more undecided. Assuming that it is meant to be a ridicule of George W. Bush and his rise to the President of America, well, to be honest and in my opinion it is kind of a big “fuck you, you idiots” to the country as a whole, considering that all the information “revealed” in the film is and was always public knowledge and, well, America elected Bush TWICE as their President. Like I said, I am not totally clued in, into what the point of this film is and I am not even sure I will watch it, but considering it is the first of it’s kind I thought it was worth mentioning. Let me know what you guys think.
And while we are on the subject, here is the new Commander in Chief Test.
Second random thought of the day. Airplanes or to be more precise air travel. Anyone that has sat next to me on an airplane ( sorry ) knows that I am a very uncomfortable air travel, the slightest turbulence freaks me the fuck out, I start getting anxious and envision a flaming ball racing towards the earth only to destroy my human remains and obliterating my atheist being. Silly, I know, but I hate flying. This sketch by the glorious Monty Python is probably not that far fetched. At least I think so.

Steven,
Although the information on G.W. Bush is public knowledge, most people don’t know about it. During the 2000 campaign the Republican party did a good job of hiding George’s sordid past from the media. The spent their time attacking Al Gore’s robotic demeanor. A lot of people knew about Jr’s problems and his failed business dealings but not the majority of the voting public.
In 2004 they were able to use fear to keep the people from seeing the truth. There was also voter fraud on a MASSIVE scale. The disenfranchisement of minorities and military personnel took away a lot of votes that would normally go to a democratic candidate.
I find it funny that there are still people who think George is a good president that was only working in the best interest of the people. Know we can see who he was really working for. Our economy is in the tank because of deregulation of the markets, but we were told that the free market was the way to a strong economy. The “free” market can never be free because it cannot and will not regulate itself.
Fuck G.W.

experts say it’s always best to confront one’s fear.
most of people fear or worry about situations that never (or rarely) materialize.
oddly enough, fear is one of our strongest emotions.
