REST IN PEACE DAD

This last weekend was a celebration and a family loss on Saturday. While we were celebrating my son Apollo’s first birthday in Burlington, Vermont my father passed away in the hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. Once I received the phone call around 3:00pm on Saturday it was very hard to continue to celebrate Apollo’s birthday, but I also new my mom and dad who both have now moved on off this earth would want us to continue celebrating.

My father was part of the originals 50’s generation that grew up in Los Angeles. He was a very accomplished business man and an amazing father, friend, husband and grandfather. He was the most honest man I knew and would have always help out someone in no matter what need. You can’t put a “meaning” in only words how much you parents have meant to you. I know a lot of you still have parents that are alive and I ask you to cherish all the time you can while they are still on earth. We thought we were going to have many more great years with my dad, but God had other plans for him…

Rest in Peace Dad.

I remember going to your house after high school and raiding your fridge and your dad was always telling me to help myself or he would already be cooking and feed us. Do you remember the first time we jumped your bus!!!!! That was so funny your dad that we were “insane” and we were. I also remember telling him about all the skateboarding I did and how you would take me to the top of turnboll canyan and i would skate down fall be all cut up and i know he was not stoked that you were driving me up there but he would always say be safe and have fun. Let’s face it he knew how to let the boy’s be boy’s. I could go on forever of your DAD what a man………..

My pops told me a story that one night, years ago, he and your dad were out at a restaurant, and they started a conversation with two women. Things were going well, and at some point in the night your dad asked one of the women out. At which point she looks at your dad and says, “sorry, I’m a lesbian”, to which your father replies, “Really, you were born on the island of Lesbos?”

Your dad was a great guy.

    Dude
Patrick tells a funny story about your dad. Lesbian do come from the island of Lesbos. i support that statement.

My condolences on your dads death
    Apollo looks great.

    best
