Reclaiming Youth

000_0001.jpg

Having spent 5 glorious days away from a computer and phone, swimming and running around a large back yard with the dog, I’ve returned to Philadelphia determined to reclaim a little of my youth. Part of that plan revolves around the use of the above Voodoo Board. This was purchased in Manchester, VT (@ Mountain Goat) during the companies initial marketing push. I shared it with my brother. Each of us spent almost as much time on the board as we did plotting to take it from the other. I’ll never know why we didn’t get two.

I haven’t snowboarded or skated or skied since ‘98, when I suffered a rather unpleasant back injury. The same balance board that helped me progress in all those ventures in the ’90s should help me prepare. If not, I get great amusement from the thing, so if I spend 10 minutes sliding around on it a day, I’ll still claim some victory. The thing is just super fun.

Also, I’ve received some nice books from Phaidon. Very excited about them.
