True Till Death
There has been a lot of talk about growing up and being into hardcore lately. It made me nostolgic, so I pulled out what is left of my record collection. It’s nice to find out that some of us grew up with similar interests.enjoy…
This Wide Awake 7″ might be the most rare in the collection. Schism Records! Schism was a fanzine out of NY that put out some great releases. One of the members from Project X started it. Not much more needs to be said then that. I think this is the 2nd pressing.
I was a big fan of everything that Dan O’Mahoney put out. No For An Answer might have been his best.
I got a lot of these records at one of Shelters first shows. Ray Cappo was selling off his record collection to get rid of his material ties. My friends and I were very happy to take it off his hands. Hare Krishna.
Endpoint was awesome! I also have their 7″ of them doing Misfits covers. It would be great to be able to get all this stuff as mp3’s
Stiff Little Fingers is my favorite band of all times! Straw Dogs 7″
This one is for Sonya… VA HXC at it’s best… CULTURE SHOCK!
One of the best bands to come out of the Bay Area. I used to listen to them and dream about living in SF. My friend Scott Bourne gave me these records when he moved to Paris.
This one comes from my fathers collection. He said he was at the recording studio with Peter when he pressed this. My dad had an amazing record collection before a Hurricane came through and flooded our home in the Keys.

Benny,
You might want to look into those USB turntables that can convert vinyl into mp3s. There are a few that really capture the quality of vinyl and it’s nice to be able to listen to entire collections without having to rummage through stacks of boxes.
The only drawback is that it takes full play time to transfer so it can be a feat if you have a lot but it’s worth it to have access to them when you’re on the road, etc.

thats a pretty solid to amazing collection you have there.
you know, as much as I am stoked on seeing and swelling in memories I sometimes ( like right now ) bite myself in the ass for having this forum where we can share this memorabilia.
Now, you and I both know our history within those records, but like you said, “there’s been a lot of talk lately…” and it bugs me out. There is a lot of stuff, especially recently, that I haven’t posted because I am worried about it becoming appropriated. I am not mentioning any names, but when certain brands jump on yet another not yet regurgitated sub culture I was / am into, man, it just questions the reason de e’tat of this place.
Don’t get me wrong, I got your mail, saw this and instantly dug out a whole bunch of tracks I haven’t listened to in a while and thats a good thing, but I know for a fact, that while WE share this out of good will and a community spirit, others leech onto our memories, wikipedia that shit and boom, you have a new “collection”. I don’t know. Just thinking out loud.

Steven, I feel the same way. We all saw it happen with skateboarding. Shit it happens with everything and the most you can do is remember why you love it and what it means to you. I try not to let it bother me.

That’s some really good records. Just talked about Wide awake with a friend yesterday and how underrated they are.

or maybe we can be smart about it and convince everyone that in-lining is the new black?

Thank You, Benny!! Oh I loved that song Burn It. We have the yellow crimpshrine 7″ too. Jeff Ott’s vocals were hilarious.
