Thankyouforthemusicdancingqueenwaterloo.

I went to see ABBA - The Musical yesterday. Phew.
I followed a very spontaneous invitation from Dirk who plays Sky, the guy who is going to marry Donna’s daughter who invites three potential Dads of hers to her wedding. They don’t know that they could be her Dad, her Mom doesn’t know it either and its all VERY complicated. What a fantastic story.
Anyway so much for the people who have totally no clue about the story behind. (Besides you Ian who had to watch the movie in the cinema..hehehe)
I don’t like ABBA. The fact that they translated all the songs in German made it even worse for me.
But I must say that when you know somebody playing on stage it all gets a different point of view and I really enjoyed it.
Especially the fact that Dirk invited us backstage and I felt like a little kid discovering the big and exciting world of the fancy actors.

Crazy actors and I waiting for the show to begin.

After the show touching the holy ground. Dirk still in his bathrobe.

Lots of business talk…

…and congratulations and kissing and overwhelming and emotional releases. Sweety Darling Sweety.
Here with Nik and Susanna who played Donna, the mother.

And because I had nothing to add to the business talk I focused on the fashion.
Well.

Even in yellow not better.

Liked the luggage from on of the first scenes.

schminke-3.jpg

As the clothes didn’t express me that much I took a look at the ‘where-to-get-glamorous” place…

schminke-1.jpg

Unfortunately not glamorous at all! Every Lady has her own box and it reminded me more of Tool Time instead of a fancy show backstage make up thing.

Dirk played just for us the motorboat scene again….

socken.jpg

…meanwhile I took a look at the socks organisation.
dark socks left. bright socks right.

Before you go out on stage make sure you have done your warm up…

warm-singen.jpg

…and you have sang that a few times.

And the rest of the glamour goes definitely away while sitting with the stars in their cafeteria drinking a beer out of the machine….

..then to be on the way out to McDonalds! But on the other hand it makes them very real.

So thanks again Dirk, for this very entertaining night and the sneak behind the scene!
Well and ABBA…thank you for the music I guess.
