The Glass Catfish resurfaces.

I’ve been away too long. In between work and trips I’ve tried to update but it just hasn’t worked out because I get pulled away. All I can say in my defense is that I’ve done more work in the past month than I have in the previous 4 months prior. Which is good news but takes some adjusting. Since it’s been a while, I figure a crash course update is in order. In the time I’ve been away I’ve:

1. Killed 6 spiders
2. Shot 4 raccoons with my BB gun
3. Been to CA twice
4. Stayed in 5 different hotel rooms
5. Stranded at the Houston airport
6. Completed about 18 new deck graphics and 9 t-shirt graphics
7. Had my old cable/internet ripped out and new cable/internet installed
8. Updated elephont once. (always a good indication of my work load).
9. Watched roughly 9 hours of Democratic National Convention coverage (from behind my laptop, of course)
10. Watched two complete movies on the new cable setup
11. Bought a BMX bike off of Ebay
12. Received 262 emails
13. Sent 159 emails
14. Been to the U.S. Post Office 12 times
15. Been to DHL once, UPS 4 times
16. Aside from going to or from airports I’ve only driven 7 times.
17. Killed a giant wasp about the size of my palm
18. Received 41 text messages/sent 22 (I’m not a ‘texter’)
19. Spent at least one hour per day on Digg.com
20. Did a graphic for my friend John Drake at Atmosphere Skate Shop in NC.
21. Signed 2 contracts
22. Bought a new board and a new pair of Vans at the local skate shop.
23. Received the new nickname, ‘The Glass Catfish,’ which seems to have stuck.

That’s about it. Super exciting, right? I’ve been around my house so much I’ve literally watched the grass grow about 2 inches. When i go out and smoke, I compare the height of it from the day before, week before, etc. I’ve heard the expression, ‘like watching the grass grow,’ but I never really lived it until recently.

I’ll be in Italy at the end of next week for a painting event and a show. It’s in the northern part (Rovereto and Bolgona) so if you’re in that area, keep your eyes peeled for The Glass Catfish.

That’s all for now. Have to get up early tomorrow and break out of my cell for a day and head out on the road.

Wow, I thought I had been productive lately… That is quite a log, Don. Are you keeping a little notebook in your back pocket to keep track of all this?

What? You don’t have the LifeTracker™ App for iPhone that tracks all of your daily activities and logs them for future reference and tax purposes?
I’m joking. I really do have a little notebook that I carry around with me sadly enough.
