Question of the Week - Camera
Our digital camera is this Panasonic Lumix. We’ve had it for a long time but I feel like it’s the “hot” camera right now. Bah. Must be the Leica lens. That’s what sold me. I’m not crazy about it though. Flash always seems too hot. If anyone’s mastered it, let me know.
When Bodhi was born I really wanted to start taking film flicks, so much more interesting to me right now is my big giant beast of a point and shoot, the Ricoh TF500.
I found it at my mom’s house, no one could remember where it came from but my sister realized it belonged to her old and eccentric boss. Mine now. And while you need a duffle bag just to carry it around, and people laugh when the flash pops up (my little cousin even asked me, “what IS that?”), it takes the best photos, especially outdoors. I don’t need to go through all the joys of film vs. digital…but not being able to edit and reshoot on the spot, catching funny moments and picking up prints with that freshly developed, chemical smell really does make taking pictures fun again.
Here are two from the summer that I like:

Hi Stephen,
Nope that’s “the other Minya” a friend of mine, Minya Oh, who is also the radio personality “Miss Info.” We are both Asian (me half-Chinese, she Korean) and oft confused. Sometimes I get gossip from rappers straight to my blackberry by mistake! Love it!
