Hipster Hitler
I know some fellow Germans might find that offensive, but do yourself a favour and remove that stick out of your rectum and check this out. Funniest thing I have seen in a long time.

The Company Men
Not that any of you need yet another random image based tumblr blog to look at, however, I just started one ( I think this is my 4th to be honest, I hated all the other ones ) and before you go off hating on the content – it all makes sense in my head. I consider it a storage place to over time, collectively creates a mood for a project I am working with Nick.
Here is the link. Go waste some time.

Paul Vogel
My grandfather died yesterday. Whilst his passing wasn’t hugely surprising it still has torn a massive hole in my existence. I am not writing this as a public eulogy but really as an act of catharsis for myself.
With his passing another part of my story passes into memory and while I am struggling to maintain some sort of composure and celebrate his extraordinary life, it is a struggle nonetheless.
My granddad was someone I looked up, born into a working class family after WW1 in South East London, he survived the WW2 as teenager only to join the army which would shape his entire life. He raised good children and they in turn raised me. For the first 14 years of my life my grand parents lived in the same house as I did and my memories of this time are great. My earliest memory of granddad was from when I was 2 years and 8 months old. I was sitting on his lap, watching “The Dukes of Hazard” and he explained to me that I now had a little sister. Something I wasn’t impressed with. He taught me card games, drinking tea the English way and remains in my heart as a happy, warm human being that I will miss. I hope that I can continue his love into my family and raise my son with his memory a reality to him.
Rest in Peace Granddad, I love you for everything you did for me and everything you did for my family. See you on the other side.
“Life is eternal, and love is immortal,
and death is only a horizon;
and a horizon is nothing save the limit of our sight.”

Sever The Wicked Hand
I was lucky enough to get an advance copy of Crowbar’s forthcoming album “Sever The Wicked Hand” and all I can say is: Metal. Seriously, I don’t know many people that fucking metal out so hard as Crowbar and specifically Kirk Windstein, frontman, singer, guitarist for Crowbar ( not only, but mainly ). The new album has been on constant re-play these past 3 days and my fucking neck hurts from it. Here is the first official video from one of their tamer tracks. Proud to be a Metal Head today. Bow down.

The Record Industry

Fuck Yeah Friday
It’s been a hot minute I know, but aside from learning, that yes, you can drink on antibiotics I’ve been busy, some of which you will all see here soon. Enough of that mystic internet shit though -- this is one for all my lodge brothers. rock out. drink beer and celebrate the brotherhood. also, thanks to Jules for being one of the last music journalists that still gives a shit.
Homeward Bound
This year is really starting off right – I just got a copy of the Sailor Jerry’s brand book “Homeward Bound- The Life and Times of Hori Smoku Sailor Jerry” and let me tell you, these guys really did it right. What’s even nicer to know is that Grand Wizard of the Black Lodges East Coast Chapter Nick Schonberger had a heavy in this and it shows. His quality craftsmanship resonates throughout the entire book. In essence it’s so much more than a simple brand book, in terms of layout and presentation as well as content it feels much more like a history book – which is good. The subject matter is dealt with objectively and properly. If you can, do yourself a favour and get this.
